Episode Description:

What's the difference between a 2/5 and a 5/2? Between a 3/5 and a 5/3? If you think they're the same, you've been consuming too many Instagram memes and not enough actual human design foundations.

This is the masterclass on profile lines—why your top line is your brand but your bottom line is your foundation, why you can't skip the unconscious work to get to the conscious expression, and why profile lines are one of the most accurate pieces of human design (unlike sun sign horoscopes, which are "affirmational bullsh*t"). It's about understanding that there are only 12 profile combinations, but unlike astrology's 12 sun signs, these actually tell you something useful about how you move through the world.

Hey everyone. Welcome back to Clear Signal. We are following through on the promises of season two, one of the four pillars. And if you're new to me, the four pillars of season two were number one, clarity. Number two, feminine flow. Number three foundations, and number four, backwards to go forwards. And this episode checks all the boxes.

This was episode was recorded last summer. I trust my divine timing when I release stuff and I don't know why I do what I do. I got feedback this past weekend at an event from someone who barely knows me. She said, you seem very good with the flow with everything you do. And I had just spoken at an event and I said, oh, well I have an undefined throat, so I am best unscripted.

She's like, no, I mean in life. And I was like, okay. I am channel of rhythm in human design. That is my main sacral channel and channel of rhythm has a innate sense of timing. It is a channel that kind of knows when to do what to do and when to push and when to lean back, when to rush, and when to not rush, when to release stuff, when to not, so maybe there's an innate sense there.

Little different than what she was talking about, but it's all good. And foundations, this is extremely foundational. It's a masterclass. It's not the kind of thing I would record now, but hey, we've got it. I'll give it to you. And also. ? Feminine flow. We talked about that. Let's go with the flow.

That's not like some feminine empowerment thing. That's doing business in line with your body intuition. That's what I mean by feminine flow. Clarity. Making things clear. Foundations backwards to go forwards. Yes, we got it. I recently introduced a number of people to the podcast.

So some of the most recent episodes, one of them is your profile's, not your positioning, which I don't love that episode because I was sick. And then I say a bunch of stuff at the beginning, like I mentioned episodes we drop in January, which I dunno what crack I was smoking thinking we're gonna get all this done.

But more than that, , there may be some repetitive stuff because this was recorded in the summer. Then I did an interview with somebody in November. I put the interview on the podcast. That's the first interview of this year. It was foundational because that was for a non-human design audience. And then I did a episode on Your profile is Not your positioning, and that was gonna be that this is basically another deep dive.

It's really hard to bring old stuff back, but. Before we end season two, there's a series of episodes that I've isolated that I consider gems. This is one that I think should make the feed and we're gonna get right into it now.

And again, if you are a recent listener to my podcast and you heard my episode on profile is not your positioning, this is new information, but there may be a few lines that are repeated. So keep that in mind.

Marker

One of the things that I see is people who don't know anything about human design. People talk about profile lines on human design, memes, it's big on Instagram.

You can Google it. There's a lot of YouTube videos about it. And so people latch onto this, they'll learn nothing else about their chart, and they're like, I'm a three five, I'm a five one, I'm a six two. It means this. It means this. This is my entire brand. Plop it into chat, GBT.

And they think they figured out their entire positioning. , And that's really dangerous. Really, really dangerous because there are only 12 profile lines. It's kind of like horoscopes. There's only 12 sun signs. I think horoscopes are shit. And I'm a professionally trained astrologer, that's just affirmational bullshit. , So they're not real. , I would say that the 12 profile lines . So you can piecemeal the profiles with some accuracy. You can't piecemeal the astrology with any accuracy. Any accuracy you perceive is Barnum effect confirmation bias, which is what most astrologers get accused of by the average public who doesn't understand astrology.

It's because of people who do lazy astrology. So what I like to say is if you took made two cocktail parties. And you had a bunch of people in a room, two different ballrooms, and the cocktail parties are next to each other, and the DJ comes on and the DJ goes, all right, everyone who's a Virgo goes into this corner.

Everyone who's a Gemini goes into this corner, right? And the other cocktail room is like, everyone who's a five one goes into this corner. Everyone who's a three five goes into this corner, right? And so in area, you've got two rooms with 12 groups, and there's no, they're not gonna be 12 corners, but you get it.

I would wager, I would put money on the fact that the people who ha all have the same profile line. I don't care whether they're a manifester, a generator, or reflector, I don't care if they're a man, woman, stage of life, race, culture, socioeconomic status, they're gonna have a hell of a lot more in common with each other than the people who are the same sunsign

Like I'm a Virgo, I'm detail oriented. , I mean, it just means nothing. Okay. , The profile lines are, to me one of the most accurate pieces of human design. If you were to throw out the entire system, I find the profile line very useful. And here's why, because it doesn't change.

And here's the thing people don't talk about enough, is that in other elements of human design, the centers, the gates, the channels, depending on who you're around, that's gonna change your astrological chart changes and it. Accelerates after 35, which is why I work with people 35 plus. And I don't really put much stock into natal chart stuff unless I'm doing brand work.

That's different. I'm talking about your evolutionary self. Profile line doesn't change. And that's why it makes it so useful, because everyone in my space, for the most part is 40 plus.

And so at that point you've had multiple careers, you've had multiple businesses, you've had multiple rings on your tree, you've had multiple life situations where you've been projected upon by others, or people have looked to you to be a problem solver in certain areas, or you figured out your natural genius, and you're like, oh shit, this is real.

And I'll give you an example from my chart at the end if you're interested in detail. One of the benefits of the profile lines is there're only six comes from the Chinese hexagram. So you can make memes up the wazoo with that and people are gonna feel like. You know, you're talking to them. It's kinda like horoscopes, but like a more quote, sophisticated horoscope bullshit.

So you know, if you're a five line this, if you're a one line this, if you're a two line this, it's great. It's great for engagement on Instagram. People love to feel like you're giving them a free little report. And the challenge with that is that there is a huge difference between being a two five, a five two, for example. A completely different thing. And here's why. Because the bottom line of your profile is your foundation. It is what is unconscious to you. It is the red side of your chart. It is what you naturally do. It's the way that you move through the world. And that informs the top line. And the top line is your brand.

You need to be focusing on the top number in your branding and, and going back to my first point. It is not a positioning.

It is additional information that is very useful for you to use, especially if you have a certain kind of a profile that is a little bit controversial. Like me, I'm a five one or heretical messenger. . So I would say that, you know, I have a lot, a lot of other placements in my astrological chart that make me futuristic, that make me not palatable to the masses.

So I'm a double double, but, and I'll talk about that at the end. So it gave me a little bit more permission that I was on the right track, and it probably prevented me from watering down my content to appeal or to copy. What other people are doing in this space because I come from a business background, so I entered the spiritual space.

Things have changed now, but it was a lot of love and light bullshit. . Lionsgate. We're gonna walk through a portal together and like just fucking whatever. I don't even know. I don't even know a lot of love and light shit that isn't me. I am straight shot, no chaser, and that's what people come to me for.

I might have watered down my message and I might've been like, oh, you know what? You're bringing too much masculine energy into the love and light space. You should be like this, whatever. And knowing that I was a five one early on, I was like, oh no.

I'm here to make waves. I'm not here to placate. Sinead O'Connor was a five one. Madonna a five one. Britney Spears a five one. Stalin was a five one. Hitler was a five one. I'm not saying these people are all . Role models, but they didn't get where they got by telling what everybody what they wanted to hear.

So if that's my brand, I'm gonna fuck up my brand by trying to be like everybody else. . So your profile line can be a huge permission slip, especially as you get older, but where people go awry, as I've mentioned, I have a majority of three lines. There's a episode I did on the three line, check it out, and I talked about how that's going to inform a lot of what I do.

It may not be public to you. I may not open up the kimono all the time on what I'm working on while I'm working on it. But you better be damned that when I've got my solutions, I present to you. Not only are they based in having a one line means three degrees, how many courses and videos and analysis I've done at 3:00 AM like I distill a lot of knowledge into one nugget for you.

I've also got three line energy. I've got 48 years of. Trial and error and finding my way through it, which is very important in entrepreneurship, which there's not enough of an entrepreneurship. There's a lot of armchair people who have done nothing, who are a lot of experts out here.

That's priceless. Experience is priceless in any area of your life. You know, I, I have a garden and I have a whole episode I do on what I learned about business from my garden, and I get everything from the, the mentors in my community garden. They've been doing this for years.

There is no substitute for my ability to ask one question to them. They're like, oh, do this, do this. You know what, no, that's not a good thing when you do this. Instead, not know, like, I'm an expert. I know all way, but in like, I've been there, done. That way you can feel the difference. Three line is embodied energy, right?

That's going to inform what I do. And why do I share that with you? Because if I just try to copy other five ones in the space, my three line energy is going to not shine. I'm gonna try to be too perfect. I'm gonna try to be too polished.

I'm not gonna honor the fact that I, my three line energy, my, my stories from my past, my trials and errors in business. Is going to inform the solutions I provide you is going to inform my authority. It's not just gonna be, 'cause I have an MBAI have an MBA and I've been an entrepreneur for 14 years full time.

That's solid. And and that is why I will tell you, you wanna learn something. You learn it from a one line because they will not even get on a mic until they have analyzed everything 10 times till Tuesday. That's my bias, obviously. When people are out here just taking these memes and they're like, oh, well I'm a three. I'm a three. If you're like, say you're a three five, that's very different than a five one. That's very different than a five two. Two five. Very different than a five two.

So , here's a great example for you because the two five and the five two are one set of profile lines where there is a mirror. Not every profile line has a mirror. Five two and two five have a mirror. And you know what's really funny is. I talked to someone a long time ago it was May of 2024. It was right before this version of the podcast birthed, and she's a two five, which is a very rare profile. Even five two is rare. So she's a natural genius. She's a spiritualist. She's an ex strategist, so she's got a lot of business know-how.

And then now she's a channeler. She channels a lot of deities and, , she solves people's problems with them. Five line, boom.

So, you know, we talked as friends and she was like, you know, she was having a lot of hesitation to putting her testimonials on her website.

And she had done incredible things. The point is, is that she was having a moment where as a five line bottom, she's gonna get unconsciously projected upon by others. I'm gonna get consciously projected upon by others as a conscious five. I'm gonna get consciously projected on by others. She's gonna get unconsciously projected upon by others.

People are gonna meet her and think she's the answer to their problems. And so she's out here doing her work, but \ she's attracting a lot of clients that are expecting her to solve their problems. No Spiritualist is gonna come in and fix all your problems and you're not gonna do any work, and it's not gonna solve your whole life.

No one's gonna solve your whole life. And no magical entity is gonna fix every problem, it's part of the solution. All these things are part of the solution. So she had to own that and understand that, and she knows human design, but . She's not the work she does, and so it was kinda like just having that mirror for her.

I literally was a mirror to her. I'm a top line five. She's a bottom line five of like, Hey, here's what's happening for you. You're unconsciously attracting these clients that are projecting upon you. You need to have stronger barriers in your website of what you do and what you don't do. You just have very, very strict boundaries on what people can expect and what people can't expect.

And when you know that you're not gonna be attracting these projecting clients, then you're gonna be willing to showcase your genius. Then you're gonna be willing to put those testimonials on your website. Then you're gonna be willing to attract with ease. Two lines are a natural genius. They can attract with ease.

If they put themselves out there and they don't hide. Yeah, two lines, like to hide, hermit, , you are gonna attract the people because you've owned the fact that you're a bottom line five. So your bottom line is what you need to own and really, really live before you can step into your top line. Around midlife, everything becomes more conscious to you.

So I would say it's kind of around 45 that I really started to understand what this bottom one line was. I really started to understand that people see me as really knowledgeable . People are like, oh, I just come to you 'cause you know this shit.

I'm not gonna read the book. I'm just gonna ask you. And I was like, why? . One lines never think they're an expert.

To summarize the top line is not the same as the bottom line.

You cannot just use that alone because you are nuanced. I'm very nuanced. I have seven three lines. I have five, five lines. My three line energy is stronger in my chart than my five line energy, but it's not my brand. That is gonna inform my brand, it's gonna form my business models. I've talked about that in the three line episode.

You wanna own your bottom line, and if you have someone who's gonna have projections or expectations, you wanna own that. If you're a three, five. People are gonna project onto you that you're solution provider, that's great. And then they might project upon you that you're a fuck up because your life is gonna have public trial and error and you can own that or you can have the world project onto you, that you don't know what you're doing. , Or in the instance of an actual client, the one I just mentioned was a friend. This is a client. She was the CEO of a large wellness situation. And everyone in her staff, from the front desk to her, , staff acupuncturists they were all looking at her.

To be the problem solver. And she was taking on all this projection and she was a three five and it was driving her nuts because she wanted to be in CEO mode and she was in troubleshooting mode all the time. That's a classic like run your business, not be in your business when you get to that stage of business.

But this was even worse for her. So we got. To the root, the problem, this was a business optimization session I did with her, and we got her to the point where we were tapping into what was really her core benefits. She had the money channel, she was a manifesting generator with the channel power, who also had.

The money channel, and she was wasting her time doing like front desk admin and it's like, all right, no. So we were able to take her to a different place and that is how human design gets applied really to business. Most people . Around, formulating your brand, which is true and it's a key part of that, but.

There's much more to it, depending on how you wanna use it. So that's how I use it. I use the Centers for Personal Development and Understanding influence and superpowers. You're gonna hear me talk about the centers on the podcast because it is something that everybody can understand.

The other about human design. Cannot be watered down with accuracy. And you're gonna hear me talk a lot about the profile lines for the same reason and because it's not that complicated. , And then you can decide if you wanna go further down the line with me, with somebody else, with a book you wanna spend all day on Instagram.

My clients aren't doing that. Obviously depends what your goals are. The other thing I like about the profile lines is that they're great litmus test. Is human design for you? Is it not for you? And if it's not for you, I would drop human design because if you don't relate to your profile at all and you're 40 plus, which is who's listening to me, it's not a system for you.

Not every system is for you. I am certified in neurolinguistic programming. From probably the best NLP school in the world. I've spent thousands on getting certified and I spent an additional thousands, I don't even want to tell you, on working one-to-one with leading practitioners, and I got absolutely nothing out of it.

It wasn't for me. People love it. A lot of people combine it with hypnotherapy for belief change wasn't my solution, didn't fit me. Definitely put my time in with it didn't fit me. , come back to me in three years and I'm like, oh, wow. I wasn't ready yet.

I hadn't unlocked this piece of my background or this or this. But at the time of this recording, 10 years after I got certified, , that's how I feel. And an example of this is that there was this girl who messaged me once on ig. She said she was a five one, and she said that she had ten one lines. And she also said that she didn't know anything about human design, and I'd seen her on prior social media content saying that she thought human design was dumb.

So she's like, I don't resonate with this at all. And I'm like, all right, maybe it's not for you. Like I'm not gonna convince you of anything. Like if you don't resonate with that profile line, she's older than me. My intuition, my spidey sense is something's off about her birth time or she didn't calculate it correctly, but she's not my client.

Five, one, what is your problem to solve and what's not? I'm not here to solve her problem, so, okay. Boundaries are very important with any kind of five in your your Chart,

boundaries, boundaries, boundaries, my friends, and why am I talking about. Boundaries because I talked about the heart a lot in some past content, and the reason for that is it is, it comes down to boundaries. It is about commitment, which I described in prior content.

And it's not about willpower and the way that we think about willpower. And it's not about going to gym at 5:00 AM It's not about training for a half marathon. Yes, people with a defined heart might have more. It's a commitment to certain things to see things through. And this is whether or not they should or not.

By the way, this isn't always healthy. I can say that as someone with a defined heart. It's about boundaries and if you, you take things and bring them up to business, what is charging people? A lot of the heart center is material plane charging people, , self-worth boundary with time over giving.

Where does that come from? Does it come from a place of genuine overflow? Generally, it comes from a fear of inadequacy or people won't like me or I need to overdeliver . That's boundaries. That's where people pleasing comes from.

And now we're gonna summarize. So your top line and your bottom line are very different in your profile. Be aware of that. Your profile is not your entire positioning. Be aware of that. You can use it with a lot of accuracy. And that's why you're gonna have a lot of in common with other people.

If you are a three five, you're gonna have a lot in common with another three five, and you can use it as a great litmus test for whether or not human design is for you because it doesn't change. And that's what I love about it. All right, so now we're gonna switch gears. And I'm gonna give you some case studies from my business, my life, my past to share this. And share my journey with human design so you understand this a little bit better. All right, so let's go back into a time machine. The first time I learned about human design, the first time I studied human design, which is about five years ago, and I was like, what the fuck is this shit?

It was a white dude. Everyone in the space looks the exact same. They all look like these carbon copy, stepford White business coaches, they're all the same on Instagram. Dude took your four indigenous systems and made up your own system,

you call yourself this other name and everybody else calls you this other ethnic name, which I don't do. You'll never hear me call that name. You're an advertising executive who channeled this because of the voice. Okay. Got it. Sure. , And as an astrologer, the human design astrology is Diet Coke.

It's not comprehensive. I don't agree with that at all. Jacqueline Michelle, she called it Diet Coke. Astrology and it was so fricking apt, so fricking apt.

But then my manifester friend introduced me, and if you wanna understand the, relationship between the manifester and the generator or manifesting generator, you can check that out because I assuming most of you guys are sacral beings. , I have a video on the manifesta on my YouTube channel.

It's my human design foundations. You can check that out in a nutshell. Manifesters will electromagnetically trigger the generator. They'll turn the key on something, but here's what it is.

They'll mention something to you like, and four years later you're doing it. It's something that it kinda has to move through your body. And when you're ready, you're ready.

And if it's part of your path, it's part of your path. It's really interesting. , Okay, so I didn't believe in it or I didn't wanna learn about it, I wasn't ready for it yet. And , once you get into it, it's undeniable, the accuracy. In one of the other episodes that's coming up. I'll talk about the deep dive, about the undefined throat.

I've already done one where I talked about the undefined throat. , And I think I already did one already where I talked about my PCOS business, polycystic ovarian syndrome. It's a endocrine condition for women health coaching. I did this, it was very classic five one with majority of three lines. I did this over 15 years ago, so I didn't know anything about human design, but here's how it matches.

Think about it, heretical. Practical solution. You're using herbs, you're using supplements, you're understanding. This is back then when gynecologists were telling women this was a reproductive disorder. It's not a reproductive disorder, it's a blood sugar management disorder. It has to do with insulin.

And no one was fucking talking about this. And everyone was giving bandaid solutions, the birth control pill. . If you wanna use that, great. I don't put that stuff in my body. , First of all, it, that's not what it's used for. Okay. If you wanna use it for what it's used for, fine.

So I did my own deep investigation, got peer reviewed public. They had access to this, but they couldn't be bothered to read it. Public medical journals, I. I deduced my Chinese acupuncture blend. It was in Chinese, but I took it to Chinatown in San Francisco and I got it translated. This is before we had all these app translation apps and all this, and found out what were the actual herbs in it and what were those herbs and how did they actually impact the body.

And I turned myself into a test kitchen. Right. Three. Trial and error, one line investigation. I also have a master's in functional medicine. I didn't at the time, with a specialization in hormones and botanicals. You see where this is going, but at the time I didn't have that. So, and then I created these solutions, practical solutions, and then I put it out there and people.

Saw me as the solution. And so I, people would come to me for a cycle, and if you don't have PCOS, the nutshell, this is not medical advice.

I'm not a doctor. The nutshell is if you get a cycle, it solves all your other problems. Not if you're obese, not if you have a high BMI. But if you're just an average woman with PCOS and you've got cystic ovaries, you get yourself a cycle. All the other shit will, for the most part go away or be managed.

And so I had a supplement protocol that I created based on my own deep dive research on peer reviewed stuff and my own trial and error, and treated my body like a test kitchen and blah, blah blah. Got a clockwork cycle, and then created a business off of it. That's an example.

Very universal solution, very practical solution. , My probiotic line that I mentioned, I'm closing, that was a gut health, first to market, one of the first shelf stable for gut, brainin, microbiome. And it was shelf stable. It was universal. Anybody could take it. You could take it with water.

You could take it without water. You could take it at any time of day. You could take one of the pills together. You just had to take it every day. And very universal, very practical. Shelf stable, survive the microbiome. Very rare. At that time, that was a time where everything had to be refrigerated every, and had a prebiotic in it.

Prebiotic. Now we talk about prebiotics. No one talked about prebiotics back then. Five. One is in the future. Five one's a visionary chose the prebiotic because it grew the probiotic by 200%. That's what they call a synergistic prebiotic probiotic. Very affordable. My take is if you're gonna make one key change in your life, you change your gut.

I'm sure I'll do some more health content in the future. I'm not talking about these wellness influencers on TikTok who probably can't find the digestive system. I'm talking about real gut health, real root cause before root cause got absconded. To mean something, it's not. Because what is the gut?

The gut assimilates the nutrients. It doesn't matter how much protein you're taking, it doesn't matter how much exercise you're doing. It doesn't matter how much you're chanting. If you're not assimilating your nutrients from a biochemical perspective, it doesn't matter what you eat. All this other stuff you're doing doesn't matter.

People talked about this in the Vedas a long time ago. People were into this in India a long time ago. The gut has to do with hormones, sleep, skin, mood. Energy level. And so what did I do in that? What do I do in my solutions right now?

I catalyzed people. That's what I am. I'm a catalyzer. I get the party started. , I got messages when people would respond to me from my product line and they'd be like. I go back to the gym. I've got the energy to get outta bed. I'm craving healthier food.

I've had a bowel movement because of the fiber I'm drinking. More water keystone habit, right? Each, each, any one of those is gonna turn the key that's gonna make you a little bit more healthier. And then your natural, momentum's gonna take over. So functional medicine is the root cause medicine.

No one talked about functional medicine 10 years ago. Now everyone's talking about it. Everyone's making money off of it. Doctors who are like chiropractors who have no background in anything, they're like, I'm a nutritionist, right? I, I, I'm going to a talk next week.

She's a psychiatrist who took a nutrition course. But that's where the money is now. Right? So that was what we were talking about a long time ago. Astrology is root cause. Astrology is not horoscopes and memes. And unfortunately I use astrology very little in my brand because it's just turned into a dumpster fire. The PR for it is horrible. But you know, I work with a client last week because people come to me, they get everything I do. Whether or not I advertise it or not. And I was saying all this stuff about her and your brand's this and this is this and this is what you're, where you were on your soul path and this is where you're going.

And she's like, how did you saw that in my chart? I'm like, yeah, your astrology is your birth signature. Just like your human design is your electromagnetic DNA, just like your body is your genetic DNA, which can change, but you're also built with some DNA that can't change. I'm just reading the map.

Human design for business is root cause imbalance of energy. If you're using it to what's draining you or of where you're trying to position yourself, where it's not a fit, there's not a match. Imbalance, where are you trying to position brand yourself from a place that's not. I used to run a market research agency.

Market research is fundamental. Deep dive research. You share an umbrella pain point or sales solution that everyone has. You sell it to the sales team. It's researching facts and finding the universal thread. That's what the five does. What is a universal thread? What is something I can share on this podcast?

An example, I can give you a case study. I can give you where you're gonna take something away regardless of. Your experience with human design, you're gonna take something away from something I said,

and like I said in the three line episode, because I'm a 5 3, 1 3 is not my brand.

It's going to inform my solutions. It's gonna inform the solutions I've had. My solutions are baked on theoretical knowledge and brass tacks, real life. That is rare. There's a foundation most people are not gonna have because that's just how I'm designed. It's also gonna take me longer to come up with my solutions than somebody else.
